The concept of this Mural was.....
Tony Tee "FROM THE BAY 2 LA" Mural
MI EJIDO
This project executed in silverlake was a concept that was requested by El Conquistadors Management. The girl in the center survived a mural from over 10 years ago, the background was damaged. The same concept as before apply's to this newer mural now. Its some what of a collaboration/restoration mural. I began by brainstorming some ideas with the owner and then working up mock ups equaling to the mural that is now present. The mural itself represents the high speed of work ethic found in migrant laborers that is not just found with local labor. The mural is named "MI EJIDO" which basically dates from the Aztecs' rule of Mexico.

Hotel Erwin x Redbull x TonyTee

The Hotel Erwin x Red Bull gallery was presented on the first day of the X-Games. A beautiful luxury hotel with a rooftop lounge overlooking the beach was the ideal location to set it off. The gathering of athletes ready to party was the perfect occasion to bust out a live painting session with fellow artist Brek.

If you grew up in Los Angeles you are either a Laker fan or a Laker fanatic; theres no other way about it. “The New Blood” curated by Morgan Spurlock
The New Blood, a show that Morgan Spurlock (of Supersize Me) has curated atThinkspace Gallery: He asked established artists to each select one up-and-coming artist whose work they want highlight, with both artists having work in the show. Here’s what Spurlock has to say about the show:
I’m a massive art collector who, by way of my habit formed a relationship with Thinkspace’s Andrew Hosner, and when he offered me the opportunity to curate a show I jumped at the chance. The concept of the show is how the torch is passed from one artist to the next. One opens the door so another can follow. And this show is all about artists who I think have and are continuing to impact and change the art world, and each one of these artists is bringing along an ‘apprentice’ or ‘protege’ who they think we all need to know about, the artists they believe are the ‘New Blood’ of the art world.
